Project type

Date
June 2022
Location
Brooklyn Bridge Park, NY
Role
Head of Social Media, Brand Partnership Lead
Established in 2009, MADE initially emerged as a pioneering fashion platform dedicated to showcasing the talents of emerging designers and cultural creators. It played a pivotal role in launching the careers of renowned designers such as Telfar Clemens, Eckhaus Latta, Jonathan Simkhai, and Hood By Air. Embodying the intersection of fashion and culture, MADE x PayPal continued this legacy by identifying and empowering the next wave of designers through a transformative two-day experience at Brooklyn Bridge Park in June 2022.
Curated and mentored by Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne of Public School—esteemed alumni of the MADE program—the event showcased the runway debuts of emerging designers, accompanied by live musical performances from Nas, Heron Preston, Amrit, Mona Matsuka, and a choreographed presentation by Parris Goebel. In collaboration with PayPal, the event also dedicated space to 20 designers and brands, supporting small and local businesses by providing a platform for direct engagement with fashion press and consumers.
As the Head of Social Media for MADE, I led the digital savvy team that undertook the challenge of relaunching the platform after a three-year hiatus. Crafting a strategic approach that reintroduced the event, celebrated its significant moments, and generated custom promotional content, we successfully elevated brand awareness and exceeded ticket sales goals. On-site, my team orchestrated comprehensive live coverage throughout the event, resulting in an unforgettable experience for attendees from NYC and beyond.
Additionally, I spearheaded brand partnerships with SNAP Inc. and Puma. Serving as the innovation partner for MADE x PayPal, Snap Inc. collaborated with K.NGSLEY, Whensmokeclears, and Bed On Water to create custom AR Lenses inspired by each designer's collection. These lenses were featured as virtual backgrounds during the group fashion show. Puma, in its support of MADE x PayPal, unveiled a new footwear silhouette and provided additional styles for the New Wave New York Fashion Show presented by Public School and for emerging designer Whensmokeclears during the MADE Class of 2022 Fashion Show.
